Archicad Studio, a complete Building Information Modeling (BIM) solution, is a subscription plan for solo practitioners and small firms looking for tailored solutions for independent work or local teamwork. It brings all the benefits of a commercial Archicad license to a subscription platform at an affordable price. Archicad Studio supports Teamwork locally and speaks your language. Archicad Studio along with Archicad Collaborate is the default subscription conversion offer for Archicad perpetual license holders.

Archicad subscription users will have access to training materials on Graphisoft Learn and Graphisoft Community, as well as technical support lines.

As part of our conversion program’s benefits, we are providing compatibility back to Archicad 8.1 by leaving converted licenses as Archicad 25 perpetual licenses in your hands. This way, you can open/edit projects that are up to 15 years old.

Licensing is about access to software, not access to content created by the software. Archicad runs on cloud licenses and can open projects created with Archicad’s physical key-based licenses and vice versa. The same is true for Archicad’s perpetual vs. subscription licenses. Thus, companies with a mixed license pool (perpetual and subscription) can open, edit, and work on the same project.

Naturally, subscription products provide more frequent updates for license holders because they allow more agile delivery of innovation and bug fixes. This, however, doesn’t mean “forced” updates—the control (and responsibility) of updating remains with you. This also supports users who prefer to keep their differently licensed Archicad on the same build to ensure compatibility.

BIMcloud Basic can be used by any Archicad user who needs basic collaboration and communication between team members.  This solution is included with Archicad and allows the user to install it on a dedicated in-house server. In contrast, BIMcloud Software as a Service is an excellent solution for any size firm that wants to collaborate via the cloud and eliminate the expense of in-house hardware and IT while enjoying the benefits of high-speed servers and backed-up data.
